Nottinghamshire Spring

Alastair and I spent this weekend in Nottinghamshire at my parents' house.  It's Spring there - we crossed an invisible line drawn across the A1 somewhere in North Nottinghamshire and suddely there was blossom on the trees and the daffodils were out.

Sunny Thoroton
Mum and Dad have got a fantastic garden with two veg patches with walls to grow things against, and a lawn with lovely borders.  Dad tends to do the veg while Mum does the flowers.

They also grow vegetables in the field next to the house.

Dad spends most of his time pottering in garden in Spring, Summer and Autumn.

At the moment he has - amongst other things that I didn't take photos of - cabbages, many leeks and broccoli.

I got some leeks to take home, lovely!
